HON. URSULA OWUSU-EKUFUL, MINISTER FOR COMMUNICATIONS, PARTICIPATES IN THE CYBER SECURITY SUMMIT AND THE INTERNET GOVERNANCE FORUM, 24TH TO 25TH NOVEMBER, 2019, BERLIN

At the invitation of H.E. Wolfgang Ischinger, the Chairman of the Munich Security Conference (MSC), Ghana’s Minister for Communications, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful participated in the MSC Cyber Security Summit in Berlin, Germany from 24th to 25th November 2019.

The Honourable Minister also participated in the opening session of the Internet Governance Forum (IGF) in the morning of 25th November, 2019 hosted by the Federal Foreign Office.

On the first day of the Cyber Security Summit, the Honourable Minister participated in a Panel Discussion dubbed “Like it or not: Technology Companies between Geopolitical Power and Responsibility”. The Panel discussed how technological companies contribute to promoting international cooperation as well how governments needed to react to the emergence of technological companies as potential security liabilities.
